Garvin’s first on camera experience was in a television commercial, but says his passion is in news. A longtime Cleveland resident, Garvin attended Kent State University where he obtained a Master’s degree
in Journalism.

While at Kent State, Garvin was a producer, reporter and anchor for TV2, the campus television station. Garvin interned at WOIO and WUAB in Cleveland where he produced Around the Block, WUAB’s public
affairs show.

Garvin loves to travel and has been to more than a dozen countries in Europe, the Caribbean, North and South America. Garvin is an avid tennis player and has traveled as far as Paris, France to watch tennis. He can be found on the local tennis courts when he’s not at work.

Garvin was born and raised on the Caribbean island of Trinidad, then later moved to Michigan. He earned a B.B.A. in management from Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan, and holds an M.B.A. from the prestigious Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
